My Wife Journal #18
Overcoming Your Biggest Battles!!
07/20/2026 @ 3:37pm
One of my prayers with these journal entries is that my husband to be will read these entries before ever communicating with me in real time. I want for you to know what my journey has been like in Christ and how it has been an uphill battle. I don't feel as though the things I speak on will run you away because I'm sure you have experienced some similar things in your life because of the mantle we will uphold together in ministry. Almsot as if you will know all about me to a certain extent and learn me spiritually once you get the courage to reach out. I don't want it to be where you aren't aware of certain things because I'm not in a position to hide the things that I have overcame. By the time I meet you, I would personally like to not have to go too much into detail based off what has already been shared through these journal entries. And of course, there will be things that won't be shared because I know that the adversary still lurks. But now that I am in a place where my kids are older, graduated from school, I am in a space to speak on this uphill battle.
To be honest, these last two years with my youngest was an experience. I found myself in constant prayer over his life, his wellbeing, his mental state of mind, and who he is as an individual. He experienced so many things these last two years with just his school alone that it bothered me for even considering this school, when his father presented the offer for him to attend this school. My son was a great basketball player with aspirations of becoming a great player in college. There were some things that he could have done slightly different to keep him grounded in the sport, and as a mother that remained his #1 fan till he gave up on it, I can only imagine had he stuck it out and remained focused and didn't allow the things that were happening to interfere, then just maybe he would have done some great things.
The trouble that he experienced started off with minor things that eventually became a big issue out of nowhere. And for the sake of him I won't disclose all the things but as a mother, I felt deeply for the things that he went through and could see certain things that were happening. For instance, here recently, I could tell that things were being made hard for him in his last year for prom and graduation just based off of what I was told about an anonymous email that came in that caused my son to have to deal with consequences right before the last few days of school. Some of those same kinds of anonymous emails would be sent to my phone periodically. And one day I just, looked it up because I was curious, because it was obviously stemming from somewhere that someone was intentionally doing this. And sure enough, this is something that can be done online and can easily access random email addresses to send to phone numbers or emails. There is slim to anybody, that has it out for my son. As a matter of fact, he is well respected and liked wherever he goes. He is the life of the party and a social butterfly. So, him having someone that would intentionally try to jeopardize his lively hood or future, to me would be highly unlikely, unless it's pride and the hate they have toward me and wanting to take it out on my seed, since they can't get to me. I continued to stay in prayer about this because, I felt in my spirit that the plans of the adversary had to be stopped. And when his father got him a lead for a position at a Dollar General store a few months before graduation, I was against it because of the way that, it all happened. So, out of nowhere my son was able to bypass the interview process and got the job and was ready to fill out the onboard information. And to me something about that just felt off. I say that just based on so many things that my son had experienced during the last two years. And so, I held off on him signing up for that job, then all of sudden the manager was fired and a new one was hired and the new manager reached out to my son to have him come in to conduct an interview and start the onboard process. Before my son officially started, I decided to visit this Dollar General to purchase a few items and get a feel of who the store manager was without her knowing who I was to my son, just.to see if the manager that initially hired my son was still working there and I was told by the new manager that he no longer worked there and was fired in which she could not disclose that information, and had been with the company for a long time. Which I had already felt in my spirit that the manager had been fired, so the new manager only confirmed what I was feeling spiritually.
It didn't sit right with me, because my son was only at that job for about a month before he would say in his own words people were acting weird toward him, like how the students were acting toward him at school majority of his senior year. I understood spiritually what was going on and from time to time I would try to express the things that I would see spiritually, but when you explain things to someone who is not familiar with how the Holy Spirit shows you things than, it's hard for it to be seen and understood by the naked eye or to even reason with what's going on. I always, prayed over my son, because I know that things that happened could have been prevented had he understood how prayer can send demons aflight.
But as a mother growing up not knowing these things myself, or should I say not adhering to these things because I was shown these things but I ignored it, and it carried over to my kids for knowing about it but still living in sin, so I could have been the curse breaker before it ever got to my kids. And of course, it hurt me to see my son so passionate about certain things, to watch how the adversary would try things to block his blessings. I even told my son before your senior year, that this would be a great year for him, and it ended in alternative school, school suspension, amongst other things. But truth be told, I am not a man, so I will say that he missed out on certain things that I know only a Godly man could have taught him, and he had mentors in his life that was keeping him on track and somehow even those things dwindled out over the course of this last year. But after finding out about an individual I've known from high school and hearing his story about certain things that was highly relatable to my story and some of the reasons why I was experiencing certain things through jobs I worked for I was able to start connecting the dots as to who has been behind our downfall, because there is a common denominator between me and my high school classmate. And when you have money and connections you can make things happen!
Even now, the job that I have, I work remote, and earlier last year, I got this job based on a post from TikTok about my back being up against a wall and the director of the company offered me a job. I was so excited and only to find that she would be laid off weeks after I was hired, and I could see the shift in how I was being treated great one day and the next, I was watching how certain things were being done to be made to where I would want to quit. I mean constant things were happening, to the point I had to eventually say something and start making calls to hire an employment lawyer. That is not something that I cared to do, but for the sake of my sanity, and trying to just do my job, and keep a roof over my head, I was finding myself leaning toward this as the best option. But of course, even that was intercepted, to where my job found out and immediately changed things up and found others way to try things.
What I realized, is that we have to be strong in the Lord to not be moved by the adversary's attacks and stay in constant prayer because that is our source to overcoming. And as of recent, literally just last week I knew these kinds of things were coming to an end, after speaking up once again. So, for me it has always been about choosing your battles. I suffered a long time with intentional little things being done to try and bother me, and when you work for the kingdom, you can expect these things. It says in the word, if they hated me, then they will hate you also. And without a cause. Of course, there was a reason for this all. Pride has been the underlying source for the attacks, and since they could not get to me like they wanted to, they started with who I was connected to, and who is not fully aware of the tactics. Many of us live our lives, daily and rarely experience anything, and others on the other hand, experience things quite often. And in this moment of trial, I could also see the hand of God moving to allow certain things to happen, and also not allow certain things from not being able to happen. My biggest prayer, since the start of the turmoil that my son endured, was that he was able to experience prom, and graduate. And despite the attacks, and setbacks, he was able to attend both prom and graduation, even through the moments that the adversary tried to steal from him. He has a mighty job to do in the kingdom, and I understand that this is why he also was fought as hard as he was. And as a praying mother, and future spouse I want you to understand that I am the woman that will stand in the gap and go to war spiritually on your behalf. I consecrate myself on most Friday nights instead of wanting or needing to be seen like the past, to cover my loved ones in battle and will not let up until the battle is won. I know we all have a battle to fight, but as a helpmate I want to make sure that I cover your mantle through strategic prayer because I understand as a man you may have a lot to deal with, and it is my obligation to pray when certain things like this try to rise up, so that it can be destroyed before it ever manifest. In the word it says, the weapon may form, but it will not prosper. Until we meet in the physical, I pray that your biggest battles are over.

Your Wife
