Your Temple

I am going to keep it real short I hope for this entry. I actually woke up early than normal this morning as the Holy Spirit led me today. One thing I believe I have adopted in my life is jogging this trail on Saturdays. This is my third Saturday jogging, and I believe it's about 2 miles long. Now, let me just say this, I have not ran since I was in my twenty's early thirties. I am now in my forties and uh let's just say I have a fast-paced bounce which I will still call a jog because my entire body is telling me to relax right now, considering what I did earlier to help a family member out with cleaning and also working out during the week. I believe strongly in keeping our temples right and tight and to be mindful of what we indulge in and taking care of our temples mentally, physically, and spiritually. I have always been in the gym since school age, so this is something that has never left. I haven't always been consistent with working out for whatever reason in passing, but this is a big part of my life to stay in shape and keep me going on the right path.

But I have been keeping up with my time and when I first started jogging it took me about 53 minuets the first time second time was 52 minutes, and today I finished in 48 minutes. Same route less breaks, but I am definitely feeling the side effects of less breaks now lol!!! I was told I go to sleep early like old folks now lol!!! Which I do now and days, especially since I wake up early during the week. I always say it's passed my bedtime when I'm out around 9pm. The crazy thing is that I go to sleep late, it's just as long as I'm in bed early is what that's about. But needless to say, this jog has really helped me as I have been trying to stay consistent in more areas of my life with the Lord's help as that has been something that I haven't always done besides being consistent with being a mother, I have been pushing myself to stay the course with things that I like to do these days and that would also include cooking. Speaking of cooking, I call myself trying to fix these homemade biscuits but was out of honey so I just got some honey. So, soon I'll be making these biscuits. I have a special request for biscuits and gravy, so I'll see what I can come up with now that I have what I need. So instead of trying to be seen these days, I spend my time studying the word, preparing for my next assignment, spending time with family, praying, cooking, gym, self-care, and relaxing. I am very much a home body as I have done enough going out for two life spans. And when I say going out, I mean trying to be intentionally seen.

I do personally feel that at the right time the Holy Spirit will lead me where I need to be if it's meant for a divine appointment, especially if it's to meet you. I don't believe in dating around to see if you are the right man, as I have chosen to be hidden as much as possible. As a matter of fact, true story happened just the other day on my way out to the gym lol. So, I call myself changing up my gym attire for the gym and throwing on some tights. And I'm not just talking about the neutral color black tights. No, I'm talking about some gold Nike Pro tights that where very fitting and just as I had everything in my hand, shoes on water in hand backpack, do you know the Holy Spirit convicted me so strong to turn around and go change?! And I did!!! I looked in the mirror and noticed that they were more see through than I would have liked them to be, so I changed and threw on my regular sweats. But just something as simple as that, is what the Holy Spirit will do. Like when the Lord does a thing, He does it well. Because I can't recall while in the world, anytime I was going to the gym, if I would have turned around to go change, But I respect myself enough and, secure in myself to stay covered up and not present myself as if I need wandering eyes on me to attract the wrong kind of attention. And that is what I understand these days, is that a woman doesn't have to seek validation from men by the way she may dress. The thing about it is, that a man should see a woman through the spirit. The oil she carries, her walk with Christ, and not through the flesh and what her body physique looks like. I know that's not easy these days, as lust is rampant in the atmosphere, but I do still feel there are men and women like myself that don't need validation from what they have, wear, or look like. What I will say, is those things are definitely a helping factor, but just like in my last entry it's not about those things. And if we all knew that we were spiritual beings and the Lord requires us to walk in the spirit then, we wouldn't be caught up on what things look like in the flesh before we know what someone spirit is about. That's why a lot of us have ended up in bad relationships, because we don't know how to subject ourselves and heal from past traumas, and surrender hurt pain and other things to the Lord. But if we just took time out to be single and work on self with Christ as the center, then it would be a lot more marriages that would flourish, and less kids born out of wedlock, and less parents on child support.

One thing about it, is that we have all been a product of our environment to some capacity, but it doesn't give us an excuse to stay complacent in that. We all have the ability to push for better if we really want to change in area of our life. And grant it, I do know there are things going on in the spirit that can sometimes try to block those things, but that is why the Lord gave us the authority to speak against those things and bind them up and build a prayer life and grow into a prayer warrior to defeat the attacks against your blood line, and renounce things so the adversary has no power over what your purpose is. Anyway, per usual, it's like when I start typing, I get caught up in my thoughts and want to just type it all out and then it turns into a whole thing. So I'll leave it at this, stay encouraged to keep pushing to keep your mental, physical, and spiritual life in order as it is a requirement to keep our temple healthy.

Signed,
